Building Your Spiritual Path: Contacting the Divine
August 14, 2008 @ 8:00 PM
Cost: $10
If we are truly spiritual beings, then why do we feel disconnected from the divine? How do we bridge this perceived gap? Can we experience the divine, whether we call it God, the Goddess, Spirit, first hand? And if so, how do we do this?
In this class we'll look at the reasons for our perceived division between ourselves and the sacred and learn techniques to cross that boundary. From prayer, to shamanic journeying, from dreamwork to intuitive navigation, we'll step out of our comfort zones and participate in exercises to experience the divine firsthand.
I was trained as a shaman by a Native American (Mi'kmaq) medicine woman and have been dedicated to spiritual exploration since March 1987. For more than a decade, I've taught countless classes and have written more than one hundred articles on spirituality and mystical experiences, which you can find on my Web site at
www.oldways.com. To register, email me at
jeffrey@oldways.com. This class is part of the Building Your Spiritual Path series that meets the second Thursday of each month. You do not have to have attended the previous classes in the series to participate in this class.
In addition to the classes that I offer on my own, I'm happy to offer workshops to groups on almost any topic that you find here in the pages of Old Ways. Group rates are generally less than what I charge individual students for the classes I hold in my home. Prices tend to vary depending on topic and the size of the classes. If you're interested, send me an email at
jeffrey@oldways.com and I'm happy to discuss the details.
